CONTRACTOR HANDOVER COMPLETED PLEEBO DISTRICT MODERN MARKET IN LIBERIA
The Pleebo district modern market is now ready for use after contractor handover the completed project to the government.
The ceremony brought joy to Marketers and some citizens in Pleebo, Maryland County Electoral district#2, Southeast Liberia who lauded the government and its partner for the completion of the market.
African Development Bank (AFDB) through the Smallholder Agriculture Productivity Enhancement and Commercialization (SAPEC) project, in partnership with Liberia’s Ministry of Agriculture (MOA) funded the US$430,424.88 modern market with JusMart Engineers as contractor.
Meanwhile, the facility is expected to be the biggest business hub ever to be constructed in Maryland County.
The modern market structure contains storage facilities, toilets, play ground for children, running water, offices, including numerous stalls for food crops and dry goods, as well as 52 stores on its second floor.
No official date for President Weah handing over of the market has been announced so far.
